Manifold Directional Warp

  • Where to find it: (This Node is available in the Nodegraph only)

    • NodeGraph / Right Mouse Click / Add Nodes / Manifold /

Manifold Directional Warp can be used to warp 2d or 3d space coordinates to achieve directional distortion effects in patterns, images and procedurals

Warping can be performed on UVs or 3D Position Data depending on what is fed into the Manifold port of the Node

Node Ports

  • Manifold (UV/3D)

When this connection is mapped in the Nodegraph it will overwrite the coordinate system used by the Node.

By default, if the Manifold Handle is unmapped the Node will use your Objects UV Data.

You can for example attach a 'UV' Node here or even another Manifold Node (Manifold UV, Manifold 3D, Manifold by Locator etc.)

  • Strength (XYZ)

Allows you to feed in a node stream to control the Strength of the effect.

Works as a multiplier against the Strength Slider in the Node.

Each axis is evaluated separately, meaning you can feed in different data in the red, green and blue channel to control the effect

in X, Y and Z.

  • Strength Multiplier (XYZ)

Allows you to feed in a node stream to control the Strength Multiplier

Works as a multiplier against the Strength Multiplier Slider in the Node.

Each axis is evaluated separately, meaning you can feed in different data in the red, green and blue channel to control the effect

in X, Y and Z.

  • Angle (XYZ,0-1)

Allows you to feed in a node stream to control the Angle.

Works as a multiplier against the Angle Slider in the Node.

Each axis is evaluated separately, meaning you can feed in different data in the red, green and blue channel to control the effect

in X, Y and Z.

Angles are in radians meaning a 0-1 value range is expected.

You can use the Degree to Radians and Radians to Degree nodes to convert inetween

Node Properties

MAIN TAB

  • Strength

The Strength Intensity. If something is attached to the Strength (XYZ) port, the slider is multiplied against the input of the port

  • Strength Multiplier

A multiplier on the Strength to have customizable slider range.

If something is attached to the Strength Multiplier (XYZ) port, the slider is multiplied against the input. of the port

  • Angle

The Angle of the directional warping effect

If something is attached to the Angle (XYZ) port, the slider is multiplied against the input of the port (which is converted to degrees first).

Separate Channel Control

By clicking on the 'S' Button next to a slider you can enter separate values per axis
